Who we are
Claque Creative is led by Lizzy Hardman Warburton. Lizzy is an experienced professional in the sphere of marketing, communications, design and internal governance, having worked in the industry for almost a decade. Lizzy was inspired to start Claque after seeing the demand from smaller businesses and charities for a broad range of design and marketing help.
Having worked freelance and as an in-house marketing and event manager, Lizzy has used her skillset to establish Claque Creative – a creative agency with the goal to help small businesses and freelancers with the stuff that can be too much alongside the day-to-day running of a business.
What makes us ‘sing’?
At Claque Creative, we think about all the ins and outs. If you’re a business, we’ll get to know how you work inside and out to create something that resonates with you and what you stand for. We approach things from the standpoint of a performer – we know how important image and self-promotion can be, even if you don’t want to do it. Things need to be bold, consistent, and totally you.
We offer different strands of support from design through to consultancy, meaning you can get everything in one place, or cherry-pick which elements you need the most help with. You might have amazing graphics, but your website still has the old style, or you have amazing outreach projects, but you’re not sure if your EDI policy is up to scratch and ensuring the accessibility you want.
Lizzy is an alumna of King’s College London and the University of Leeds where she studied music - she’s currently completing a PhD in music with the support of the Open-Oxford-Training Doctoral Training Partnership. Born in Manchester, and raised in Bolton, Lizzy found herself on the wrong side of the Pennines in Leeds after living in London. Continuing her own education, Lizzy sought professional work and development in marketing and design, as well as freelance work as an operatic soprano.
“It’s taken me many, many years to realise that I like all strands of what I do, and having varied experience doesn’t make me a failure, it allows me to do the types of work I love, and have a lot to offer people in return. As a singer, I’m constantly battling the sense that not performing full-time is a failing.”
Lizzy’s professional experience covers design, marketing, performance, EDI policy-making, business development, musicology, and education.
About the founder
“The inspiration for Claque Creative is my own performance and music background as an operatic soprano and musicologist.
I love performing, but I also love working in design – my goal with Claque was to combine the two, using creativity and experience in the freelance world to provide consultancy services and to create designs that sing.”
